Text description provided by the architects. Revesol is a metalworking industry that produces machinery and supplies for mining.
The project for the plant is based in a composition of relatively independent volumes. Each volume is developed with the best form and materials in order to meet the specific requirements of its function.
The office building is volumetrically connected with both the service building and dining hall, so to shape the facade and image of the project, leaving open spaces with vegetation, which sets distances and generates circulation routes between the volumes. These spaces are defined as places for recreation and primarily as an expansion of the dining hall.
The entire project perimeter leaves a lane that directs flows and functional relations between the volumes.
In the background is the production plant building, a large volume wich its interior is arranged with aisles marked by overhead lighting and vegetation, with small gardens in the meeting points, which allows to generate a kinder working environment.
The rear of the terrain is left as a recreation area and as a possibilty for future growth.
OFFICE BUILDING
A volume with contemporary, clean and simple architecture, an open floor with the essential structure and a clear vertical and humid core.
The deep overhang of the roof for solar control shelters the north façade.
This volume is set with a metallic structure both pillars and beams, with slab decking for the mezzanine and metallic truss with plate ceiling for the second floor with Zincalume cladding. The structure covered with panelling based on galvanized iron and steel structure on the east and west facades and alternating vertical openings and filled shapes in the north and south facades. It has porcelain flooring, aluminium thermopane windows and plate ceiling.
SERVICE BUILDING
This two floor building contains two bathrooms and dressing room for the staff on the fisrt floor , a training room, union office and a gym for the staff on the second floor.
The volumen is based on a metallic structure system, covered with external timber louvres and lap siding LP Smartside.
DINING HALL
The dining hall is formed as an independent place, an oasis within the plant. The steel skeleton, a very clean and glazed volumen, merges with the front garden vegetation.
Aluminium windows, porcelain flooring. Internal clear height of 3,5 meters.
PRODUCTION PLANT
The production plant structural system is based on steel pillars and beams, as well as steel roof structure and bracing elements.
Cover and vertical surfaces coated with metal paneling on the exterior.
