Heimtextil Takes Center Stage in Frankfurt: Exploring Textile Trends and Design Dialogues

The exhibitors' stands are one aspect of a trade fair. But what would the spectacle be without an informative supporting programme? And… which exhibition hall will you head for first when Heimtextil opens its doors in Frankfurt am Main from January 14 to 17, 2025? Admittedly: It's not easy to keep track of more than 2,900 exhibitors spread across 16 hall levels. But we have a few ideas. Use well-known brands as orientation anchors and be curious to discover new, young and innovative newcomers in the midst of it all. Mark your calendar for exciting talks and tours, and look out for certain signs on the stands. Which ones? We'll tell you now.

Of course, you can't miss the Heimtextil Trends 25/26. Here's a tip: start here in the Trend Arena in Hall 3.0 to get a comprehensive first look at what is emerging on the horizon of the textile future. The Trends 25/26 are curated by the Milan-based design platform Alcova under the motto 'Future Continuous'. Guaranteed to inspire! You will look at the rest of the fair with fresh, wide-open eyes. And you'll need them too! At the latest, when you venture into the halls, which are divided into product categories: For example, the world's largest selection of upholstery fabrics in Hall 4. The selection of Decorative & Furniture Fabrics ranges from outdoor, decorative, upholstery and contract fabrics to artificial and furniture leather. This is also where you'll find the highest concentration of high-quality weavers, especially from Europe.

Focus Interior.Architecture.Hospitality

(Interior) architects, interior designers and hospitality experts can also look forward to the Interior.Architecture.Hospitality LIBRARY in Hall 4.0, showcasing a selection of functional contract textiles featured throughout the fair – from stain-resistant and antimicrobial to flame-retardant. The curatorial team, consisting of Gerhard Sperling, Felix Diener and Jana Vonofakos, offer guided LIBRARY TOURS during the trade fair. In addition, the tailor-made Interior.Architecture.Hospitality programme is accompanied by TALKS & TOURS, and LIVE TALKS by Architonic Editor-in-Chief Simon Keane-Cowell. Exhibitors with offers for the contract sector are identified by clearly visible signs on their stands. They are also listed in advance in the FINDER.

In Hall 5.0, you will find hand-woven carpets, designer pieces and unique items, as well as international country pavilions. Hall 5.1 is home to machine-woven carpets, fibres and yarns, as well as technologies for the carpet industry. A new area is being created in collaboration with Fedustria and exhibitor Ragolle Rugs: 'Belgium Textiles' showcases around 15 renowned Belgian carpet manufacturers in a unique joint presentation. Additionally, Carpets & Rugs is present in Hall 3.0, complementing the product groups Wall Decoration and Textile Design and Heimtextil Trends 25/26 in the adjacent Trend Arena. Doormats, clean-off systems and textiles for outdoor and contract use round off the unique range of products. Carpets & Rugs was introduced as a new, independent product segment at Heimtextil 2024, and it has already become the new home of the international carpet industry.

Design Hotspot with Patricia Urquiola

For Heimtextil 2025, Patricia Urquiola is creating a sustainable textile design experience embedded in the exhibitor presentations of Bed, Bath & Living in Hall 12.0. With her installation 'among-us', she is developing an immersive space – 'a synthesis of our work and vision', as Urquiola reveals. Right next door, in Hall 11.0, you will find the latest developments and products relating to sleep in the Smart Bedding area, including innovative sleep systems, bed linen, blankets, pillows and mattresses.

Under the motto 'Connected by textiles', Heimtextil once again becomes the international meeting point for home and contract textiles and beyond – with a strong focus on sustainability. You'll notice an additional sign at some exhibitors' stands: the Econogy Label, which is awarded to qualified exhibitors. Interactive Econogy Talks on the Retail Stage offer additional knowledge exchange, showcase innovative best practices and round off your successful visit to the trade fair.
