The redolent shades of M68, in vibrant red, white or matt black, as well as polished aluminium, were inspired by the shape of a woman’s shoulders and are the most familiar way to brighten a good table. The Plastic Chairs number among the most well-known designs by Charles and Ray Eames. One model has always stood out in this large family of chairs: the Rocking Armchair Rod Base (RAR). Despite compact dimensions, it offers pleasant comfort even for taller users, and is also available with a seat cushion or full upholstery. The RAR is a fully-fledged armchair, whose iconic shape and rocker base on wooden runners adds a striking accent to any living room. Seat shell: dyed-through polypropylene. Pendulum lamps by Marianne Brandt and Hans Przyrembel. Between 1924 and 1928, Marianne Brandt designed – in addition to smaller articles for common use such as ashtrays, china, etc. – quite a number of table, wall and pendulum lamps, which were also manufactured industrially in this period. For reproducing the pendulum lamps we had access to old catalogs, with exact specifications, as weIl as to two old models, one from the collection in the Bauhaus Archives in Berlin. A lamp originated by experimentation with surfaces and their relationship with light and the surrounding environment. The research by Ludovica and Roberto Palomba with Foscarini into new surfaces began with blown glass, via tactile textures, until it reached the irregular and organic Bump. The surface displays playfully intentional bumps and dents, for a fresh, informal appearance. Three different finishes and therefore great flexibility to add a stylish touch also to public venues.
