Modular sofa with backrest and armrests structure in multilayer poplar wood and double-panelled fir-wood, padded in differentiated density polyurethane foam, and covering in needle punched, resinated, non-woven polyester fiber, bonded onto a polyamide velveeten backing. Steel seat chassis, with epoxy powder coating, sprung with coated rubber elastic straps, padded in polyurethane foam. Backrest and armrest cushion in prewashed and sterilized goose down, stitched into separate compartments, with polyurethane foam insert. Inspired by the ultra-comfortable chair created for the 3-Michelin star Four Season restaurant in Hong Kong, the Viola chair, designed by AB Concept for Poltrona Frau, has elegant lines that sacrifice nothing in terms of comfort. AB Concept has revisited a classic design, giving it a decidedly contemporary touch. The result is a product with great formal lightness and a solid and void effect which enhances the dining table chair both when it is used alone and when it is combined with a table. Thanks to its soft and comfortable curves, the wooden backrest also creates the armrest and is embellished with a weave consisting of sixty saddle-leather laces which connect it to the frame. Its harmonious and ergonomic proportions, combined with a generous and welcoming seat, guarantee the utmost comfort even when sitting for long periods. Despite being solid and well constructed, Viola is extremely light and easy to move. The frame of the Viola chair is made from solid ash in a Moka or Wenge stain embellished with a weave made from dark brown or natural saddle-leather laces. The seat spring system consists of elastic belts. There are soft cushions on the seat and backrest. The seat cushion is filled with polyurethane foam and polyester wadding while the backrest is padded with down and has an insert in polyurethane foam. The two cushions form a single whole which is fixed to the frame using two snap buttons. The removable upholstery of the Viola chair is in Pelle Frau® leather or fabric.
