Extended Call for Contributions| Charrette 8(1): Race and Space: Changing the architectural narrative
We are pleased to announce that there is a new extended deadline for the call for papers for issue 8(1) of Charrette, the journal of the Association of Architectural Educators (AAE).
This issue will be guest edited Ann de Graft-Johnson and Renée Tobe and, under the theme of Race and Space: Changing the architectural narrative, calls for research and commentary and critical reflection on the state of play relating to the context and content of architectural education. We also welcome personal narratives relating to race and space. We invite architectural academics, researchers, practitioners and students, to submit contributions to one of the three categories of Charrette: Essay, Project, Freespace. Contributions should be submitted as full papers to charrette@architecturaleducators.org by Wednesday 29th September 2021. Charrette 8(1) will be published in May 2022.
In line with the aims of the AAE, the journal aims to:
- Provide a shared medium for the dissemination of both academic peer-reviewed writing and research generated through the architectural design studio
- Articulate contemporary architectural pedagogies
- Demonstrate the breadth and quality of the discourse, actions and outcomes of architectural education
