Call For Papers: New Architectures, Infrastructures and Services for Future Cities

Driving urban infrastructure modernization, improving citizen life by means of technology, sustainable innovation, wide band, Big Data… These are some of the subjects that will be discussed at the International Conference on City Sciences, that will take place at Santiago de Chile on the 16th and 17th of June.

Santiago de Chile is one of the most important cities in South America and has been recognised as the most intelligent city in Latin America by the magazine Fast Company. Moreover, its business park hosts the first prototype of smart city in Chile, known as Smartcity Santiago. A mix of the best from European and Latin American traditions, the city welcomes visitors with the spectacular view of Los Andes on the background. Santiago was also found as number one destination for travelers in 2011 by New York Times, thanks to its well-deserved reputation of clean, quiet city, with a high life quality. To visit it, there is nothing like taking a walk through its colorful suburbs and villas.

A broad range of topics related to sustainable, infrastructures-based and
participative innovations in the framework of city sciences are welcome as subjects for papers, posters and panel sessions:

Innovations for infrastructures and services of relevance in an urban context: broadband, wireless, sensors, data, energy, transport, housing, water, waste, and environment:

Urban landscape as a new infrastructure.

Smart city developments and cases, in particular those people-centred

Social and economic innovations citizen-centric.

Platforms for both top-down and bottom-up urban innovations

Collaborative innovations to address urban challenges
