Cotton lining coupled with polyester fibre. In the version without skirt, the foot is bridge-shaped: burnished cast aluminium series and polished cast aluminium, upon request. An inventive sectional sofa, with soft, inviting curves that bespeak comfort to the max and extreme versatility. The rounded arm-rests curve to meet the back, the shape expressing the crafts excellence synonymous with Cassina’s expertise, more evidence of which can be seen in the upholstery edge-stitching that delineates the lines of the various elements. The sofa is composed of single units that have been conceived as if they were individual sculptures, so they work equally well as part of a team or as stand-alones. The metal frame is upholstered in injected expanded polyurethane foam, with Dacron covers, to provide a generous and comfortable seat. The 1970s’ inspiration comes through also in the low tables that reflect the sofa’s soft profile, the painted frame meeting the elegant material quality of the wooden table-top. Designed to work together, one over the other, or abutting each other, these tables can be used to break up the lines of the sofa, but are equally at home as stand-alone coffee tables.

Mingus is a sofa bed with 13 cm high feet, featuring soft lines and seams that enhance its character. The feet are made of metal with black nickel finish. By simply rotating the back, without removing any of the cushions, Mingus converts into a conventional bed with a 200 cm long mattress. The removable cover is washable according to the fabric selected. Mingus is a sofa bed that can be dismantled for easy delivery and is also available as a sofa.

Highly practical with rigorous, well balanced proportions, storage units in the Eracle collection match the bookcases that launched the collection in 2010. While the frame is made of all Maxalto wood types, the interior is lined with colonial colour “melamine leather,” the double-glazed hinged doors are lined on the inside with a high-tech bronzed metal fabric and framed with bronzed nickel profiles. Despite the use of valuable materials, the final result is minimal and sophisticated. Doors close gently, shelves and drawers slide effortlessly. And there is also a surprise, a lamp to light up the interior of the storage unit, a practical vintage detail inspired by bar units typical of the 1950s.
