Our objective with Grounded, is to improve informal interactions for people during project work, in a sit, perch and/or stand position. Grounded provides a standing height working surface with a deep Foot-plate, to enable adequate, comfortable and highly ergonomic grounding for the users’ feet, so they feel completely natural and comfortable, when sitting up in a higher position. This enables co-workers to remain standing at the same table, without breaking the eye-lines during collaborative efforts. It also makes the act of moving and standing much more accessible. By using two pieces, it is also suitable for large oval or rectangular table tops. Presented in a liquid bronze finish, materic version of the collection, with its discrete golden reflections, in order to make every room more sophisticated. Out of the frenetic turmoil of Wettstein’s design activity, one day emerged the idea of a chair; defying all known logic, the structure of the back, curved forwards. With this idea as basic condition of the design, form was translated into function. During the revision of the project for industrial production, the back also became an arm and the chair was transformed into a small armchair. This “supersleek” creation, seemingly made out of air and a clever idea, is surprisingly comfortable. Seating system with structure in steel rod painted with epoxy powders in matt black RAL 9005 (n), white RAL 9010 (w), red RAL 3031 (ror), off white RAL 1013 (ow), olive green RAL 6003 (vo), anthracite grey RAL 7021 (gn) all semi-gloss or metallic silver RAL 9006 (am). Seat and seatback in molded sheet metal painted to match the structure. Or chromed structure (cr) with seat and seatback paintedin matt black RAL 9005 (n) or metallic silver RAL 9006 (am).
