The central goal of Errors and Omission is to broach the question of whether architectural representation can transcend its traditional role to become a form of resistance against prevailing norms and practices.
Historically, architects have leveraged the act of drawing as a means to disrupt conventional narratives and advocate for alternative visions of space and form. As an act of curation, who gets left out of the picture and what is omitted? Whose images get to tell the story of what architecture is and what it can be? What is the meaning of architectural representation in an era where AI image generation and renderings dominate the visual discourse of the profession?
Through a series of case studies and theoretical frameworks, the presentation hopes to shed light on the multifaceted ways in which image making shapes the trajectory of the profession and contemplate the potential for architectural drawing to shape our collective imagination.
